Dİ ETÇİ STEAKHOUSE

This place was introduced by a good friend. They have a welcoming, friendly staff team. We first stopped off here for ice cream and baklava in the day. We all met up and went back for an evening meal. You start from choosing your own meat from a large selection of meats in the refrigerator steak,lamb, and beef plus a large selection of salads. When ordering, you can't beat hand-made chips/fries.

Worst meat and steak we have had in our lives. We drove a very long way from center of Izmir to get there, but unfortunately it was super disappointing. Steak was dry and tasteless, burgers looked good but tasted really bad, lamb chops were okay. We had high expectations and was looking forward for good steak. We ordered 4 pieces of steak but were served only two. We went at around 4 PM but the place was still not ready and was all a mess, tables were still covered with plastic and did not look exciting for a fine lunch.

Excellent service, food was top notch. Nice selections of beef and lamb. Hunter borek was perfectly crispy and the baklava was perfect. All on the water. Will definitely come again.

We've been there twice and second time shocked us badly. I tgink it works only with tourists but i highly recommend everybody to pay a very close attentiontion to what's going on. First night before leaving the restaraunt we said that we'll come back tomorrow to try lamb chops (90 TL in menu). The waiter said that he will cook it for us in a very special way. We said ok and it was a very big mistake. We came back next day and got this lamb chops. They were ok but nothing special. We had 12 small chops to share for 2. Maximum 1 kilogramm with bons, 2 portions. And when we saw the bill we were really shocked: almost 1000 (ONE THOUSAND) TL. The was nothing like this on menu. The waiter told us this is the price and we have to pay. We did it because we were on the trip and didn't know the legislation and i will never wish people to get into such situation. Please be careful with this place!

The best steak in my life! And for that we had to fly from London. British don't know what a good steak is. Well done THE ETCI. Your food is amazing! We had the best meat. After England it finally tasted like wow, that's FOOD! And your location by the seaside is superb. We'll be in Izmir next time in May. We will definitely come for dinner to you again. We would love to sit outside this time. If I could give 10 * I would give. For food, location, the tastefull and authentic interior, for staff friendliness and helpfulness. Even if they didn't understand English they were reading from our faces to make our evening enjoyable. Just to compare, in England, where we permanently live, even if we speak English many times we have a feeling that people still don't understand you. Conclusion, THE ETCI, my favourite place ever!
