ILDIZ Restaurant

We had a wonderful meal at the restaurant. It was the first place that we ate in Turkey, and after having meals in Cappadocia and Istanbul, still, Ildiz restaurant was the best place! We arrived for a late lunch and we're the only ones at the restaurant. There was no menu, but Memet (sorry, if I misspeled the name) mentioned a few things and we ordered meatballs, lamb skewers and chicken. The mix grill was very delicious. The meatballs were so soft and the chicken was very juicy. Everything tasted amazing. Memet also suggested a yogurt dipping sauce for starter and it was the best! I couldn't find anything like that at other restaurants. It was also offered other appetizers, such as mushrooms and another dish made with aubergine. Memet was super friendly and he tried his best with the English language, as well as, to make us happy. At the end of the meal, he offered fruits & Turkish tea. We highly recommend this place. We were very happy with the service, food and the place is very cute too.

This is a fantastic little restaurant next to the Menderes river. The owner was simply super nice, trying to accommodate every wish. Such a warm hearted welcome is nice to see. I wish more places would be like this.

Great, hidden-away experience to remember! Stopped here during a long car ride with the family, and the couple minute detour was absolutely worth it. A cozy restaurant, with the nicest people who are very happy to receive foreigners. They seem excited to have you try their food and culture, so stop by here if you have the chance! The food was great likewise, and they gave us free fruit and tea for dessert. There was no menu or prices, and they basically just named something to us and brought it to our table. Therefore, we were in the blind with paying the bill, but we were surprised to see that we were stuffed full for just 1030 lira! We gave them a tip, and they at first refused to take it, but after a nice back and forth they still took it and gave my mother a free bottled drink. They waved us off, and we left happy and full. Recommend!

Stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to eat because of the good reviews. Can confirm this place was AMAZING!!! If you are driving by on the highway definitely take the 5-minute detour to stop and experience the great food, hosts, and atmosphere.

We enjoyed the food (meatballs, salad), calm space and friendly service.
